From Ashy Knees to Activism, this year’s Black Doll Show exhibit, “Double Dutch: A Celebration of Black Girlhood,” at the William Grant Still Arts Center explores the many nuances of black girlhood including play, social justice, education, hair and the black experience as seen through the eyes of a girl.

“Seeing is Believing: Women Direct“. Women make up only 8 percent of film directors in the top-grossing 100 films and 25 percent of television directors in an industry dominated by white men. Cady McClain’s new documentary engages industry professionals in a discussion about women in film, and how they are using their voices to create new opportunities for women and inspire those following in their footsteps.
